Fortress specializes in wholesale electricity transactions in the organized markets of the US. Virtual Power Traders - MISO and ERCOT
Fortress Energy Group, Inc. has openings for experienced day-ahead convergence traders to join our team. The role of the Virtual Power Trader is research and modelling of supply and demand fundamentals and grid congestion in nodal ISO markets and deploying trading capital to make profitable short term virtual power trades.
Location:
- Tampa, FL; or remote location
Job Functions:
- Fundamental analysis of transmission congestion.
- Quantitative analysis of price patterns.
- Ability to identify trading opportunities and construct a portfolio that complies with assigned risk limits.
- Comply with Fortress’ policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics or related quantitative discipline.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in electricity markets in a consulting, commercial, engineering role or experience at an ISO.
- Team oriented and collaborative.
